About Me: 

Joyce holds a PhD in Organisational Psychology of Makerere University. Her research interests include Organisational culture and leadership, organisational change and development, Retention and employee engagement, training and performance management, Afrikology, Sociocultural studies, Afrocentricity and Critical Psychology. Joyce is a Lecturer of organisational Psychology, examiner and researcher. For the past nine years, Joyce has been a technical team member, Co- Principal Investigator and currently the Coordinator for the HR Excellence Surveys leading to the Employer of the Year Awards (EYA) funded by the Federation of Uganda Employers in partnership with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Human Resource Managers Association of Uganda (HRMAU). In addition, she is a Co-Principal Investigator for studies on: Investigating and Addressing Covid 19 related Mental Health Challenges in Refugee Settlements and Host Communities in Uganda; Refugee Entrepreneurship and Skilling for Self-reliance; “HS2314ES: Challenges of Engaging District Local Governments and Implementing Partners in the District Health Planning Process, a case study of Northern Uganda. A mixed method study.” Joyce is as well a Co-PI on a research project titled “Is the Grass Greener the other side? Psychological Examination of Experiences and Outcomes of Ugandan Females Migrating for temporary Labor in the Middle East.”
